Siena is a beautiful, ancient city. It's tiny, so perfect for a day trip: walking around, shopping, taking pictures. Don't skip it!

Visiting San Gimignano is like stepping back into the Middle Ages, especially with those giant Medieval towers scattered throughout this wonderful city. While visiting Tuscany, you must find way to get down to this city. I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed visiting other Tuscany cities.

Castellina is a small village in Chianti. It offers a great gelato shop that would be worth visiting if in the area. I am not sure of the name but locals would be able to tell you.

very charming Italian castle-like village on top of a mountain. There are great views of Tuscany from the top!

Greve in Chianti is considered by some as the door of the Chianti region, due to its strategic location midway between the center of the center of Florence and Siena. It is situated along the highway SR222, also called Chiantigiana, about 30 km from Florence and 40 km from Siena.

Small hillside town that isn't overly touristed. A nice central location for exploring Chianti.
