If you’re a business traveler, especially one that lives in hotels for more than a few days, the Square Philips is a good bet, if you’re a family spending the week in Montreal, it’s a great bet. As you may have noticed if you read any of my other posts, I love a room with a kitchen, and I really ...

    Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-ville

    Class:
    4.5
    2 reviews
Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

A newer hotel in Montreal, this Hilton has joined the new trend of hotels that are combined with urban condos. The experience is pretty complete and there are some extra little additions like the private screening room where guests, condo owners or the general public can reserve a place for a viewing, gathering or group movie night. The rooftop pool ...

Clean, large hotel close to all the action in Montreal. It's located within walking distance to Chinatown and the Old Port, convenient access to orange line metro. I'm a priority club member and my usual accommodation is a large suite with a living room and kitchenette. The breakfast is complimentary and there is everything from freshly made sausage, egg to ...

My wife and I got married in Vermont and decided to have our honeymoon in Montreal since it would be a pretty short trip, and we both love the French language and culture. LHotel was recommended to me and it turned out to be the perfect place! You can't beat the location, only two blocks from the Notre-Dame Basilique, and ...

If you’re not familiar with Hostelling International (HI), it’s worth keeping in mind for travellers on a tight budget. Yes it is a hostel, but the HI network has done a great job of ensuring that all their locations are more than you would expect. The Montreal location situated on a quiet side street in the heart of downtown Montreal ...

This was a very nice boutique hotel located in Vieux Montreal. The rooms were reasonably spacious. The hotel includes luxuries like a spa. The restaurant associated with the hotel was also good although a bit pricey.

This hotel has gone through renovations so I can say it is something to consider. Location is great since you are located in between two subway stations and you are walking distance to some good bars/ restaurants in the port.

Mediocre - 69% of guests recommend

As far as Holiday Inns go, this one at least wins points for its unique indoor Chinese pagoda, I have to admit it`s pretty impressive. Surrounding the restaurant on the reception floor, there is a small fish pond, and above it stone walking bridges that guide guests over the water. This isn`t just a random design choice, the hotel is ...

    Hotel Zero 1

    Hotel Zero 1

    Class:
    4
    2 reviews

This former student dormitory turned part hotel, part luxury downtown Montreal apartment is an interesting concept in itself. Apparently not only can you purchase a condo of your own, but if you really like your hotel room and should feel so inclined, you can make an offer and own it as a little pied a terre in the city. One ...

This is an incredible hotel--the history oozes from each room, and the rooms themselves are nicely done, bright, and quite reasonably priced. A short walk from the metro and around the corner from Notre-Dame, this is a hidden gem. I feel a bit guilty unmasking it here!

Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

This place was like an Airbnb hookup before Airbnb existed. You're staying at an artist's house, and her odd and disarming paintings are the main decorations in the homey rooms. Everything's decorated tastefully (no typical B&B frills), and the owner is pleasantly unintrusive. Breakfast included her son and his hung-over friends. She wore leather pants and offered us vodka with ...

The staff were very helpful in providing directions for getting around town and identifying things to do nearby. Not being fluent in French wasn't an issue because of the outstanding staff and their wellness to help and teach you a few words. The hotel and the daily free breakfast were great for price.
