    Rue Ste. Catherine

    Westmount, Montreal, Canada
    22 reviews

Pedestrian friendly, on Ste. Catherine, you will find some of the most sought after restaurants, shopping areas. It's perhaps the busiest street in Montreal with tons of street festivals taking place throughout the year. Ste. Catherine always reminds me of Fifth Avenue of New York and in a way - better, it has some of the unique labels from European ...

    The Plateau

3605, rue Saint-Urbain, Montreal, QC, Canada
    13 reviews

Every city has a Plateau. It's the young, trendy, and hipster part of town. The essential restaurants and bars are here: Dieu du Ciel, Fairmount Bagels, L'Express, Cheval Blanc, etc. You could spend your entire stay in just in the Plateau.

    Old Montreal

410 Rue Saint Nicolas, Montreal, QC, Canada

A must for anyone visiting Montreal. Has the cutest European buildings with great bistros on every corner. There is a lit of history here and great sights as you walk the cobblestone roads of Old Montreal. A lot of culture in this little area and it is really close to the Notre Dame Basilica.

    Underground City (RÉSO)

800 de La Gauchetière Street West, Montreal, QC H5A Canada
    31 reviews

This is what makes Montreal doable in the dead of winter. Great idea. I've only explored a fraction of the nearly 20 miles of passages, but it's certainly memorable and not just because it always features in Quebecois films.

    House of Jazz

A really fun and relaxing jazz club in downtown Montreal, House of Jazz has been around for a long time. They feature a lot of local acts, and have at least one live artist performing almost every night. Being a big place, you can choose whether you want to sit close to the singer, or just lounge and chat with ...

    Montreal International Jazz Festival

    305, rue Sainte-Catherine O, Montreal, QC H2X 2A3, Canada
    12 reviews

The Montreal Jazz festival is great event, and its a lovely time to visit Montreal. The Summer is new and fresh, the weather is fine, and there are great free concerts to take advantage of during the festival. They always have a few huge names if you want to buy a ticket, but the free stuff is just as good.
