Galveston's Aquarium is fun, but not as impressive as I'd hoped. It's also incredibly overpriced - especially if you want to visit more than one pyramid. We only visited the Aquarium on this trip, and enjoyed it, but I wish there had been more to see.Recommended for:

Day passes are a good buy if you plan to spend the whole day. Imax 3D, 4D ride film, the aquarium and the Rainforest are great fun for everyone. I enjoy all aspect of Moody Gardens except the Paddle Boat. If you have young kids, Palm Beach is a perfect location to spend the day. You can buy entrance separate and it's quite economical. Lot of fun for young children.Recommended for:

Moody Gardens is a short drive from The Seahorse Cottage, everything on the Island is relatively close. The family will enjoy a day at Palm Beach, on Friday and Saturday nights in the summer they have live bands and fireworks. Be sure to check out the Bands on the Sands schedule. While you are at Moody Gardens enjoy a tour through the three pyramids and the 3D/4D Shows.Recommended for:

It's been awhile since I visited I've always enjoyed Moody Gardens whenever I was there. My favorite part will always be the aquarium but it covers so much more - with its glass pyramids Moody Gardens has exhibits on aquatic life, jungles and birds and being so close to Houston you can bet they have an exhibit on space.
