The best feature of this hotel is most definitely the location and it's comparative value to the other places available in this area. You are steps away from the best of Atlanta's attractions by day, and steps away from some great restaurants and bars at night. The hotel appeared very clean, and the rooms were fresh and tidy. I think the lobby looked recently renovated as well. The check-in staff in the middle of the day was very polite and friendly. Compared to the high rise and luxury offerings in the same area, the Motel 6 price is one of the most affordable options in the area. You'll not only save money on your nightly rates, but this hotel will also save you about $20 more a day because it offers free parking! I appreciated the fact that each floor had key-only access for added security.Recommended for:

This Motel 6 was definitely nicer than I expected. It's an older property but it has been well maintained and is pretty clean. It's right off a main thoroughfare so I'd warn any light sleepers to be mindful of the noise level here. It's minutes away from all of downtown's restaurants and places to shop. I think they're more modern places to stay that are nearby but if someone was trying to stick to a tight budget but still get the downtown Atlanta experience this would be a good option.Recommended for:

This is a very strange hotel. It seems as if the rest of downtown Atlanta built up around this little Motel 6, it looks a little more akin to a hotel you’d see stuffed on the side of some small town interstate exit than a downtown Atlanta hotel. Right across the street is Atlanta’s biggest downtown hotel: the Marriott Marquis; on the other side of the street you’ve got the massive Hilton. The Super 8 is a very strange sight bumped up against those two massive buildings.
It’s an old hotel, and if you need to stay in downtown Atlanta but don’t have a lot of money to spend I think it’s a good option. I never felt unsafe during my visit, and the staff were absolutely as friendly as any other hotel staff I’ve visited in Atlanta – even in some of the hyper luxury hotels.
The hotel is also very small – there’s only 68 rooms. Unlike almost every other hotel in downtown, parking is free, so that’s pretty nice. The nearest MARTA station is Peachtree Center, about two blocks away; with that access you pretty much have the entire downtown and midtown available without a car. I’d recommend the Motel 6 if you’re really pinching pennies.Recommended for:

The Motel 6 Downtown is right beside the 75/85 interchange, which is great if you have a car and are planning to hit all the fun spots around the city, but not so great if you are a light sleeper. The manager on duty did not allow me to take pictures of the inside of the hotel or the rooms, which is a shame since they were bigger and nicer than I expected. Although the hotel is an older property, you can tell they have tried to maintain everything and the interior is very clean and does not smell like smoke. They provide fresh coffee to-go, which I’ve not seen at a Motel 6 before. It’s definitely not the best budget hotel, but it feels safe and will certainly save you some money on a room downtown!Recommended for:
