This is your very bare bones budget hotel for when you just need a place to rest your head for a night. The rooms are nothing special but clean. There is also a large pool in the middle of the property but that's about it when it comes to perks. There is gated entry, which seemed a little odd to me, especially because the location of this hotel is right off the freeway in a very industrial part of Van Nuys.Recommended for:

This is a very basic budget hotel, but it’s also clean and safe (it’s located behind a security gate), and has very easy access to the 405 Freeway. The Budweiser Brewery is right across the street and there’s a good Mexican eatery called Tacos Michoan and a Tommy’s (a local favorite for its double chili cheeseburger) located around the corner. If you’re more into chains, there’s a Denny’s and Burger King on the other side of the freeway. The rooms are well maintained and I like that they serve coffee here in the lobby in the mornings. Parking is free and the pool is small but has chairs around it so you can hang out. And the palm trees help give the place some character.Recommended for:
