A must stop if you're looking for a real NOLA eating experience. They have great southern comfort food and the dining experience is very efficient as you order at the counter and choose your own seat. No reservations taken or needed. Good for any meal of the day.

We actually kind of stumbled upon this place while we were looking for a place to eat and ended up falling in love with it. The restaurant looks a lot smaller than it actually is and the line moves a lot faster than you'd think. The sandwiches are great, but unless you have a huge appetite, I would go for the smaller size. My favorite was the Ferdi. It's got debris, ham, roast beef and is dipped. Delicious.

If you want a good southern breakfast or a po'boy for lunch Mother's should definitely be on your list of places to eat in N'awlins. It is popular with both the tourists and the locals and at times the line will be out the door with people waiting (week day lunch time and weekend mornings). Some of the workers have some real southern hospitality while a couple where a little snippy. But hey - it is all part of the experience. This place was close to our hotel we forgo the free breakfast every morning for a Mother's breakfast. It was also our last stop on the way to the airport!! :)
