For those wanting a beach holiday right on the Green Point promenade, or golfers interested in enjoying a holiday literally a putt away from their golf course of choice, the Mouille Point Village has the perfect solution: self-catering apartments of varying sizes, with ocean or mountain views. The apartment building itself is a bit ugly, however the apartments are light and quite spacious, with modern en-suite bathrooms. Located right between the Mouille Point lighthouse and the waterfront the location is excellent and the views are wonderful. There are open-plan sea-facing studio apartments with kitchenettes (no hob), one-bedroom apartments with a hob and small balcony, and 2-bed luxury apartments with a mountain view. The mountain view rooms are at the back of the block, not on Beach Road, so are a bit quieter and have wonderful views of the CT stadium, Green Point Park, the golf course and of course the mountain.

This self-catering place would make a good comfortable base for long or short term. It has two bedroom apartments which are spacious, and have large dining areas which would be great for entertaining. The studios are also very nice. The rooms tastefully decked out, without trying to be too stylish, and still retain some of that 60s/70s charm I have come to know and love Mouille Point for. There are no common areas except the pool – which is very average and is situated next to a busy road. But then you don’t come to an apartment-style accommodation for the common areas. The building is shared with permanent residents, so not many of their rooms are sea-facing – make sure you check before booking. While the sea-facing rooms are apparently popular I’d recommend the back ones, which have beautiful views over a golf course, parklands and of course, Table Mountain.
