Possible the most impressive restaurant in San Miguel is Moxi located inside Hotel Matilda. Moxi is run by superstar Chef Erique Olvera and from time to time will fly in weel known chef's from around the world for a special meal with each chef preparing two coarses.

Hotel Matilda - which is less than 5 minutes from Casa GGG - has a lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant run by Chef Enrique Olvera, a graduate of New York’s Culinary Institute of America and winner of countless culinary awards. We absolutely love Moxi and eat there often. We usually settle on our favorite restaurants based as much on ambiance as on the food, and we love the vibe at Moxi. It’s elegant but not stuffy. And the food is great. We eat breakfast or brunch there often. For lunch and or dinner, we usually start with the tamal de huitlacoche (not like any you’ve ever had) and the jicama ravioli for starters, and we have yet to find anything on their list of main courses that we don’t love.We usually eat there on weekdays, when the hotel is less crowded. Definitely make reservations on the weekends because the people staying in the hotel often linger at their tables for a long, long time! (And call before you go on Mondays - sometimes they are closed on Mondays.)
