Mr. Bartley's has been around the area since 1960, and is a favorite of Harvard students since it's right across the street - and delicious. Their burgers are hilariously named (think "The Viagra," "The Scott Brown," "The Jersey Shore"), often with a presidential/famous person theme. I'm partial to "The Afghan" (turkey burger with hot sauce) and "The Tom Brady." Desserts are pretty fantastic as well.

Mr. Bartley's Burger is a burger joint with a personality! The burgers are inspired by a variety of famous political and social figures including an Oprah and Barak Obama burger. There is a strong political slant to the menu as well with many current nominees on the menu. This a great casual dining spot with a group of friends. Mr. Bartley's has been recognized by both the WSJ and NYTimes for it's great burger, but try it yourself to make your own judgment.

This is one of the quirkiest burger joints in all of Boston and I cannot get enough of it. Great shakes, delicious fries and onion rings and awesome burgers named after famous politicians.

The Harvard mainstay has broken through the mayo-slathered ceiling of our Favorite Five Burgers with a sports-centric sammie: The Ocho Cinco, a cajun burger topped w/ bacon/pineapple jalepeno relish, and pounded from ground prime, unlike its namesake, who's probably just past his. http://thrl.st/qWe8kA

The best burger in Boston. Ignore the cheesy joke names (the Afghan-attack this and you'll never leave!?!?) and concentrate on the juicy meaty food. I love that you can also order a raspberry lime rickey or an egg cream to wash it all down.
