Musee d'Orsay

62 rue de Lille, Paris 75007 France
229 reviews

Amazing museum with impressionists, a model of the Opera House with its sculptures and so many familiar works of art that you will feel like you fell into your art history text. Audio-tour or guided tour recommended. Museum in former train station, re-purposing Parisian style.

    Le Voltaire

    2 reviews

My favourite brasserie. Simple, delicious food. Where the fashionistas hang out...last time we were there we sat next to Anna Wintour (who was eating a plate of asparagus with lemon). At the same time the food is unpretentious and the setting is cozy and just as you imagine a French brassiere to look. At the south end of Quai Voltaire.

    Ferme Saint-Simon

    0.25 mi from Musee d'Orsay
    1 review

Having been introduced to La Ferme St-Simon by my father, when I was eight, I have always had a soft spot for this particularly sweet and charming establishment. The food is always good and the service is excellent. A wonderful treat on a winter night, or any night, La Ferme St-Simon is truly a winner.

    Ladurée

    0.5 mi from Musee d'Orsay
    93 reviews

Ladurée is probably the best ‘macaroon’ shop in Paris! It is also great for a light lunch with a glass of wine and/or tea/coffee/pastries that are all delicious. The engine of the business revolves around the delicious collection of 'macaroons' of exotic flavors including blackcurrant violet, Caramel with salted butter, orange Blossom and liquorice- Lemon, etc.

    Café de Flore

    0.53 mi from Musee d'Orsay
    27 reviews

This cafe is quintessential Paris. My idea of the perfect meal : omelet and a glass of champagne at Flore, just sit outside at 10 o'clock at night, chatting the night away with new and old friends. Its just wonderful. You can just do that and go home satisfied.

    Les Deux Magots

    0.54 mi from Musee d'Orsay
    30 reviews

Les Deux Magots is a famous café in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris. It once had a reputation as the rendezvous of the literary and intellectual élite. It's a wonderful corner to people watch. There is a legend that says if you sit there long enough, you will see someone you know. Perhaps it originated from those who sat and ...

Omg, what a delicious place! I was recommend to come here and was not disappointed. This place is located south of the Louvre, approximately 10min walk. If you're passing by souvenir stores and other restaurants, you're going the right way. On the left of you should be the big park. Okay, let's talk about the food. This place is known ...

    Le Relais de l'Entrecôte

I love this restaurant, but I way prefer the branch in the 6th to the one on the rue Marbeuf. Stay away from the champs and enjoy the atmosphere on the Left bank, by going to the relais l'entrecote in the 6th, just a block away from the cafe de flore.

This a very popular restaurant and will usually have a line to get in. We went around 2 and the line was short. The food and the service are excellent. It is a small place but it allowed us to talk with some friendly Parisians about the selections on the menu. They were very helpful and the food was terrific ...

    Pierre Hermé

    0.68 mi from Musee d'Orsay

I am surprised at how few people know of Pierre Herme in the United States. The patisseries are better than Laduree by a mile. Beautifully crafted desserts that aren't overly sweet (like Laduree). The macaroons are a favorite here and almost resemble tiny cakes compared your traditional macaroon.

You should spend one night there for a very classic French brasserie experience. Good traditional food, posh waiters getting on your nerves, but still you enjoy it, because the food is good & it is an original experience.
