Museo Nazionale Romano

Largo di Villa Peretti, 1, Roma, Italia
7 reviews

Well worth your time. Excellent museum, not as food as the Louvre but still excellent. You see so much art representing history and myths that surround you in visiting Rome. Take at east 1-2 hrs. Area can have gypsies and pick pockets. Use a money belt and don't loiter outside- get on your way to next place.

Gelateria La Romana - Roma Via Venti Settembre

0.45 mi from Museo Nazionale Romano

This gelateria was right by our hotel and we ended up going there every night! The gelatos are delicious and made with organic milk and natural ingredients. There was always a line-up at this location but they have many other branches to be found around Italy. My favorites were the ricotta and caramelized figs, white tiramisu and yogurt with nuts ...

    Pinsere Roma

0.44 mi from Museo Nazionale Romano
    1 review

I don't even know how to describe how much I loved the pizza (or "pinsa") from this place! They make personal oblong shaped pizzas that range from 3-4 Euros made fresh and served straight out of the oven with a crispy but light crust and loaded with tons of delicious toppings. The place is bustling with Italians on their lunch ...

    Hostaria da Vincenzo

Authentically Roman neighborhood restaurant virtually unknown to tourists and many Romans who don’t live nearby. It’s one of the few restaurants in Rome which still adhere's to the tradition of "gnocchi Thursdays". Also excellent is the Saltimboca (sauteed veal dish), and panna cotta for dessert. I walked by this place several times when I lived in Rome, but didn't realize ...

    Ristorante Alla Rampa

0.81 mi from Museo Nazionale Romano

They say it's impossible to find a bad meal in Italy. Even when the restaurant is located right next door to the most touristy of areas. This holds true for Alla Rampa. Situated right next to the Spanish Steps, this is one of my favorite pasta driven restaurants in Rome. But careful filling up on the linguini and save room ...

This was a great choice made by my friend who is a local. It is located near the Forum but tucked away so you would only find it if you already know it exists. The service is impeccable and the wine selection, while not huge,is excellent. The real reason to go here though is the food! The appetizers are unique and ...

Convenient to the Quirinal Palace. Probably the best cappuccino in Rome. Good pastries too and cheap for location. Hole in the wall gem which is worth a look in.

    Enoteca Barberini

    1 review

Great service, reasonable prices for the area and live music. Located near the Piazza Barberini, Enoteca Barberini is a solid choice for food and drink in this tourist area. The cheapest glass of wine runs four euros. Not too shabby. Say hello to Simone, the bartender, who is both wise and friendly.

    Pizzeria Mariotti

0.87 mi from Museo Nazionale Romano
    1 review

Mariotti serves pizza in one store and gelato in the other. I came here expecting nothing, as it's located right outside of the Metro, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had a slice with arugula, a ton of veggies and tuna. It had good flavor and texture, and it didn't cost me a lot. Not bad.

    Da Michele

0.8 mi from Museo Nazionale Romano
    1 review

Da Michele is located two blocks away from the Fontana di Trevi, making it less crowded than the other pizzerie nearby. Their ingredients are listed on the menu board, and there are very few: flour, salt, water and a two others I can't remember. Bottom line: This pizza is classically made. While it isn't a perfectly refined slice, they certainly ...

Grace C. and I walked to Angelino Ai Fori because we were looking for gelato. It's down the street from Flor, a place I had bookmarked but found it closed on the day we went. The air-conditioned dining room and free Wi-Fi alone makes Restaurant Birreria Albrecht a worthy place to visit. The fact that they have beer makes it ever better. Not the best pizza, but they serve a nice variety of slices and other items, and the workers seem to all be really sweet, old Italian ladies.
