The Museo Regional de la Ceramica showcases the amazing pottery and ceramic art that is created throughout Mexico, with a particular emphasis on work from Jalisco and Michoacan. Once a year--unfortunately, I'm blanking when--there also is an exhibit of all the winners of the National Ceramics Contest; it's a gorgeous, inspiring collection of Mexican masterpieces. (FYI--The museum is located in Tlaquepaque, another town-turned-extension-of-Guadalajara, located about 4 miles from downtown; it's easily accessible by local bus or cab.)Recommended for:

This museum shows the history of ceramic arts and handicrafts in the Jalisco area which includes Tlaquepaque. If you're interested in ceramics, this is the museum you need to visit.
