Very impacting museum on the horrors inflicted during WWII and the communist regime on the Hungarian people. Cold, metal and stone building that really brought home just how recent and still hearfelt these atrocities are for the Hungarians. War criminal photos lined the walkway as you leave, people still being sought for torture and acts of terror.

Living the ex-pat life has been romanticized ever since salacious Henry Miller cadged his way about Paris and millions of readers misinterpreted his take-away message. But it's hard for dreamers to abandon the idea of picking up and moving to Europe, opening up a business, and soaking in the perquisites of living outre-mer. The owner of this English-language bookstore has ...

This bath in Budapest is pretty great. The water feels clean and lovely, and when we were there, it wasn't too crowded. They give you towels and the dressing rooms are in great shape. There are massages and other services available, but we did not partake in them. The outside area is huge and comfortable, lots of chairs and lounging ...

Tours of the Parliament are held frequently, but reservations are highly recommended. My favorite part about this building is the exquisite marble featured inside, as well as the unbelievable views of the Danube you can see from the Parliament's balconies. It's worth learning the history behind it, too, as you'll get to appreciate the giant balls of iron that are ...
