I love this new Music Tunnel location in San Jose. Finally a decent karaoke in south bay! The sound system and song selection is the same as their Richmond location. The rooms and the interior are even nicer. The kitchen cafe is right at the entrance. You can order some drinks and food while waiting. Awesome lighting effects and great atmosphere in the rooms.

The touch screen system still takes time to get used to. If you have a huge group it could be fairly inefficient unless everyone knows exactly what they are doing. Also the system is more tailored towards Chinese songs. There are no popular list for just English songs and there are no categories you can browse.

Hands down the nicest karaoke in South Bay but the pricing reflects this. Without the grand opening discount it could be fairly expensive to sing here. Hopefully they will adjust the price or throw in other deals later.

This karaoke joint is a hidden gem in the South Bay! They have tons of top 40 songs, a easy-to-use digital interface for choosing songs, and a decent sound system. They take reservations too, so do call if you don't want to get stuck waiting for a room! And if you do find yourselves waiting, enjoy Double Rainbow ice cream or a boba drink that they offer in their cafe out front.

This KTV spot is Taiwanese run, so they also offer a huge boba menu and yummy food plates (the beef stew with rice was especially delicious at 12:30am). There's a $2 minimum food/beverage purchase per person, which is totally reasonable. While this is a no smoking/no alcohol spot, that just means that the rooms are super clean.

Our group of 6 rented a medium sized room with one flatscreen HDTV, which was around $30/hr. The rooms are plush and the equipment is all state of the art! We had so much fun using the touch screen song menu, and LOVED the song selections (in addition to brand new English songs, they also have Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog and more). We were the obnoxious group belting out every Lady Gaga song, Black Eyed Peas, Jay-Z, LMFAO, Rihanna and even beatboxing and freestyling long after our 2 hours were over. Most songs had the official video that played on the screen along with it.

They also have a super large room that fits up to 20 people with a 62" flatscreen and 22" LCD song menu.

I love how they have so many different songs to sing to and a fairly current list. I enjoy singing some Big Bang mixed in with my w-inds. and various JE bands and then rocking out to some All American Rejects and other English songs if I so wanted to.

But with this group of yelpers, any oldie is a favorite (even those that are only a few weeks old!)

The rooms are clean and huge! I love the flat screen panels and the food service if you want some munchies. They also have boba and other snacks to feed your hunger.

Definitely have to come back with friends to check their playlist more extensively.

Description

San Jose's Music Tunnel KTV Cafe makes Karaoke cool again. Bring a group of friends and sing the night away. With its modern d├ęcor, superior sound and all the hits you can think of, Music Tunnel's party rooms hold up to 25 people. That leaves plenty of space for not only performing, but dancing. Each room has up to four screens and the menus make looking for a favorite tune easy. So, grab a tambourine (yes, they have tambourines) and boogie down. Look for birthday specials where the discount is based on your age!
