Musselburgh has a picturesque little harbour or you can walk along the sea front or the river Esk (see pic). It has a busy high street for shopping, cafes etc & lots of cool old buildings dotted around.

Musselburgh is located only a few miles east of Edinburgh and claims to be one of the oldest town's in Scotland. It also claims it has the oldest golf course in Scotland, which would mean, the oldest golf course in the world. The golf course is one of the best reasons to visit Musselburgh. The Old Course is located within a race track and features only 9 holes. You can rent traditional balls and wooden golf clubs and experience historic golf.
