This guesthouse has the best staff ive encountered in 6-months of backpacking. Everyone who works there is super smiley, and geniunely wants to be your friend and assist you. I was really blown away. Even the cleaning staff knew our names. Really impressive..

*Rumor has it* that you can sneak to their top floor to enjoy their roof-top pool. It *might also be* typically unattended, making the perfect locale to do a little skinny dipping with friends. *So I've heard.* :-)

    Lodge at Otjitotongwe Cheetah Park

The Cheetah Park is pretty fantastic. The family that runs the ranch has a few cheetahs that they have hand raised. If they're feeling up to it (and they usually are) you can spend some time hanging out with them in the yard. In the afternoon, head out to the area where the "wild" cheetahs live and watch them get ...

The highlight of safaris at Wolwedans, and the other-worldly Namib Rand reserve, is not the wildlife - of which there is plenty to see. It's the ethereal scenery, which changes with the light and transports you far from any known reference point. Most mysterious of all are the fairy circles, thousands of circles of bare sand that appear from nowhere ...

    Okaukuejo Resort

Okaukuejo is probably my favorite of all the NWR resorts in Etosha. It's all about the waterhole (and I'm not talking about the bar, though that's OK, too.) The illuminated waterhole is the most accessible and almost always the most active, though Halali is a very close second. I've seen lions, elephants and rhinos fighting, and all sorts of wildlife ...

"Honey badger don't care! Honey badger don't give a...." That's what I ran around yelling last time I was at Halali because, well, honey badgers were raiding our trash and really didn't seem to give a hoot about the fact that several of my clients and myself were frantically snapping photos of them doing so. They're not infrequent guests here. ...

Another awesome lodge in Namibia. The bungalows are surrounded by hills and you're right in the valley. It has a pool, a nice restaurant and your luggage gets carried around by donkeys.

I really enjoyed my stay at Epako Game Lodge. It's nicely done up and around the lodge there's a wildlife park where you can see a lot of animals like giraffes, rhinos and stuff. You even can watch the guides feeding some cheetahs.

On the corner of the Zambezi and Chobe River this is a remote paradise. If you are into fly fishing there is none better. We went on several game "cruises". Nerve wrecking tapping the side of the canoe to warn any hippos of our presence. Definitely worth the adventure to get there.

Great little hostel in a convenient location. The staff is efficient and friendly and the rooms are clean and comfy.
