If you don't feel up to the hike to Seoul Tower (it's about 20-30 minutes of steps), or just want an easy panorama of the buildings and mountains of the city center, the Namsan Cable Car is the perfect solution. Zipping to the top in just a couple of minutes, it affords a lovely panorama, and if it isn't about to change your life, it's also easy on the wallet. (7,500 won roundtrip, a five-minute walk uphill from Myeongdong Station exit 3)

Красивый вид на гору, правда, придётся постоять в очереди. Лучше в гору пойти пешком, а спуститься уже на канатной дорожке. Если не жалко 4000 вон и 25 минут ожидания в очереди:)

I went up the cable car with my boyfriend's parents. There's a nice view from it. If I was going to go up Namsan again I would save myself the line and take a bus, probably. But still, a decent thing to do once.

Do it once (take it up to the tower or take it down). Its not too exciting anf there are cheaper public buses that can get you up and down the mountain.

Average ride, but there's some nice views. Once is enough!

Description:

Over a half million people take a ride on the Namsan Cable Car each year, making it one of Seoul's biggest attractions. The aerial tramway runs from the base of Namsan to the tower atop the same mountain in central Seoul. The trip takes about three minutes each way and offers stunning views of the city below. At the top you can take in the view or enjoy a meal at the restaurant or cafe before returning to the base. For both daytime and night time views, take the cable car up before sunset and return after dark.
