The Valley of Flowers National Park is an abode of ephemeral flowers. Flowers start blooming with the advent of summer and they remain so till September. After that the place again gets covered in snow and gets closed down till the next summer.
Located in the Himalayas, this ethereal spot can be reached through a 4KM trek from the base camp called Ghagaria where one can find food and accommodation. Ghangaria itself can be reached after a long 13KM trek from Govindghat, which is the last motorable point in the route. Overall, you will need at least a week in hand to visit this place from any major Indian city.
