I saw some great reviews for the Napa Valley Marriott on Travelocity but I really wasn't impressed with my stay there. I would stay there again if I had a crazy amazing deal but I would choose to stay elsewhere otherwise.
For a 4-star hotel, I was surprised that they don't have a bell hop. It was raining when we pulled in and we had to get our own bags. You also have to park your car in the uncovered parking spots in front of the hotel.
We rolled in around 2:15pm and went to check in. The front desk person informed us that their check-in time is at 4pm. I have never been to a hotel with such a late check-in time when the check-out time is at noon. They offered to take down our phone number and call us when the room was ready but we didn't get a call until we finally went back to check at 4:30pm. Turns out they wrote down the number incorrectly!
The room was nice and clean. We stayed there quite comfortably. My only complaint is that I wish they had free wifi for your room. You can get 24 hours free with your check in on Yelp but they will charge you for other days. Their lobby does have free wifi.
They have a nice patio area with fire pits where you can sit and have drinks. I didn't get a chance to go but there were tons of people out there in the evenings.

I like the Napa Valley Marriott and I enjoy the spa. This Marriott has a resort feel to it with the pool and pleasant surroundings but I feel it too "chain" for the Napa Valley area. Even though the charm is lacking, the service and product is very consistent of the Marriott brand.

Spacious grounds offering all the amenities of a full service property. The concierge lounge has the best food and desserts in any I've tried, at a Marriott property. The tofu pasta and feta cheese salad was light & delish! The sweet waitress Gioia will be emailing me the recipe. After a dip in the pool, will be taking the complimentary shuttle to downtown Napa. The grounds and lobby is lovely, the rooms on the other hand is pretty standard. Great service beginning right at check in.

The location is near perfect, but this is not the kind of hotel you first think of when you planning a romantic getaway in Wine Country. The hotel is very basic and straight forward. It's more of a business travelers type of place than anything else. On the plus side, you can always find a screaming deal here by using Priceline. Just off the freeway with easy access to most of the attractions.Recommended for:Business Travelers

Nice basic Marriott in a convenient location. Clean, nice, basic Marriott hotel. Very easy to get onto and off the freeway from here, and you can walk to some good casual restaurants and stores (think grocery stores, Peets Coffee, Target, and Trader Joes, not clothing stores).
