I was strongly reminded of the Brady Bunch when I first arrived. Maybe it was the fun retro sign that harkened back to a 1968 version of a Hawaiian family vacation. Maybe it was what seemed like a family of 20 rambunctious, singing, blond haired munchkins dominating the lawn and pool. Either way, the Surf Beach Resort was the place to be for packs of wrestling kids, vacationing families and BBQ parties. There is no end to the fun in sight for everyone. Relaxation is a possibility later at night. The front desk greeted us with a smile and answers to any questions about the area we had. The location is right on top of excellent surfing, a close drive to the famous blow-hole and the olivine pools. If you want an inexpensive place to base out of and ensure you're kids will find playmates to stay entertained while you relax - here it is.Recommended for:Family Travelers

The Napili Surf Beach Resort is anything but a resort and more like a RV parked right on one of Maui's most popular beaches, Napili Bay. However, this property has it all - excellent views, a beachside swimming pool and eating facilities, fully equipped studios and apartments and easy access to some of Maui's best attractions, including the famed Kapalua Golf Course. If you're one of those people who hates staying at one of those gigantic, corporate type hotels, then the Napili Surf Beach Resort is definitely for you. With only 54 rooms, this "resort" will make you feel like the deserved royalty that you are.
