Pompeii was much more amazing than I had expected. The ancient city itself is perfectly preserved, giving you a deep look back into the past - with painted murals, mosaics, perfectly preserved kitchens with pottery. They also have plaster casts of the people who were caught when the volcano exploded. You can see their actual looks of terror, mouths open, ...

I went to Capri from Sorrento by ferri, It took 40-50 minutes. Nice views at Capri and Anacapri. There are beautiful houses around the island. Don't miss Capri when you come to Italy.

Although some travellers who go the route of the Amalfi area just do a day trip here, we decided to sleep over to be able to go around the place longer, savor the ambiance and admire its beauty. Its truly magical and a photographers delight. I vow to go back and spend at least two nights.

May travellers use this city as a base because of its location and convenience to travel to other cities in the region such as Positano and Capri - just a boat/ferry ride away. However I did love the city, its ambiance, architecture and a whole lot of acitivty to do like shows in the theater.

This island is fascinating for its volcanic hot springs and dwellings built of green stone. The mud is known for its beautifying properties, and you can clamber down a mountainside to natural springs, with boiling hot water bubbling into the sea. There, you make a little bathtub at the edge of the water with rocks, and mix the hot spring ...

This is an often underrated city in Italy, but there is a lot to see here! There are so many museums(Monastero dei Cappuccini, Monastero degli Scalzi...), the largest outdoor market in Italy (piazza Mercato), and, of course, the slow food movement originated here(bar, barretti e barrtielle..) so there are some absolutely amazing eats!
