Didn't really see much of Sorrento, just the harbor mainly. I did however book a sailboat tour of Capri that departed from and arrived back in Sorrento. It turned out to be a fantastic day and a great decision. Four people I met in the hostel in Naples came down with me. We were greeted by the owner of the ...

Capri is a very picturesque Island with two cities: Capri and Anacapri. You can get there by charter boats (25 min from Sorrento and 45 min from Naples) When it’s windy and sea isn’t calm this trip is not quite a pleasure. Positano is a picture-perfect village on the Amalfi coast, with brightly colored houses clinging to the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean sea. This is an often underrated city in Italy, but there is a lot to see here! There are so many museums(Monastero dei Cappuccini, Monastero degli Scalzi...), the largest outdoor market in Italy (piazza Mercato), and, of course, the slow food movement originated here(bar, barretti e barrtielle..) so there are some absolutely amazing eats!
