This place has character! Its on the top floor of an old building next to the ministry of defence (so safe… very safe…) with marble stairwells and washing lines draped out of the inner windows you feel you’re in an old Italian movie. The bar and continental breakfast (basic but that’s all you really need) are served in the breakfast room which must have been the rooftop terrace once, there are quirky features all around. The rooms are essential with TV and are clean, the showers a little old fashioned. There is quite a bit of action in the area and close to many of the sights and not too far from the station. I loved the rickety old lift, such fun, but not always working, especially if people dodn't close the door properly on an other floor…

This may just be us but we actually had trouble working out where the hotel was after missing the little sign out the front... It is on the 4th floor! You must take the lift up here (don't be scared of the lift, considering it looks like it is really old and ready to break down it is surprisingly reliable). Unfortunately there is no wifi in the rooms. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, this place is extremely clean. I'm surprised that you can get this hotel for such a small price. I would highly recommend bit suggest that you ask for a room in the back because the front rooms are noisy from street traffic. Its great location close to Via Nazionale, Termini station, Il Quirinale and Santa Maria della Vittoria with Bernini's Santa Teresa make this hotel a good deal.

I liked the hotel, but the area where the hotel is located is awful. There are armed military men every where because of all of the government offices, the traffic is horrendous, and good luck trying to cross the street. The hotel is nice, though. I liked it, but I didn't like the area at all, and this was a huge turn off for me. There's also little to do in the area: you'll need to walk to the metro or find a bus that can bring you to other parts of the city. At night, the area is pretty quiet so a good night's sleep is assured. Don't get confused like I did: there is another hotel in the building. Head to the fourth floor for Nardizzi!

Excellent location, you can walk from Termini station and therefore to many tourist sites. The rooms are clean and adequate but you may have to walk up the stairs to get to reception and your room since the quirky lift may not be working. The breakfast was a typical continental type. The staff was friendly and helpful.
