People don't visit Narita enough! I say, if you're stuck at Narita airport for a day, explore Narita! You can find some GREAT food there along with some decent hotels and hostels. It's quaint, cultural and small enough to not be intimidated.

So I'm the first to review this place eh? Narita is a little town that has been built up around the Naritasan temple and the Narita International Airport in Japan. The temple itself is gorgeous and quintessentially Japanese, but not much of a novelty if you've been to other parts of Japan (from what I hear). I had the chance to spend about 4h here during my layover at Narita and it certainly beat spending that time cooped up at the airport. I wouldn't say it's worth going out of your way for, but if you happen to be in the area, the temple and the streets are certainly worth checking out. Didn't see a ton of tourists here so that's always a plus :)
