If you love film, you MUST come to Cinecittà. There is no excuse not to. Conveniently located along the Metro's Linea A, it's easy to get to Rome's premier movie studio. Opt for the exhibition-only or guided tour ticket, but know that you can't visit the sets without a guide. I recommend going for the guided tour even if you ...

Property of the State since 1986, the Villa of the Quintilii was the largest and grandest residence of the Roman environs . It belonged to the Quintilii brothers, consuls in 151 AD and was expanded after the Villa became Imperial property under Emperor Commodus. Located in tranquil countryside it spans an area between the Appia Attica (anciant Appian Way) and ...

Antonio the owner has three degrees but he left his teaching profession to devote himself to the wine. He seems to have not so many bottles, but we assure you that each of them is the best that you can find in Italy.

This is a good place to stop into if you need a SIM card for your phone. It costs 10€ for the card itself, and you can add anywhere from 5€ worth of cash on it. Recharging can be done easily online. Signing up was easy enough, despite my mediocre Italian comprehension skills. The guy was nice, and laughed a ...

The Colosseum is pretty cool to take a look at, even if you don't go inside. Would definitely recommend at least stopping by to visit (Heck, you're in Rome! Be a tourist! Why not!). I didn't take a tour of the inside, but I'm sure if you did, you wouldn't regret it.

The pantheon is beautiful and a feat of engineering. It's also small (relative to the other attractions of Rome). It's absolutely worth visiting (admission is free), but don't force yourself to spend an hour there because you think you should.

Ah, Piazza Navona! It's so beautiful and really exudes all the charm of Rome. Bustling with tourists and locals, street musicians, artists and more. Check it out at least once if you are in the city. The fountains are breathtaking (but hang on to your valuables as pickpockets are all over the place). This is my most favorite piazza in ...

Quite beautiful and grand. Can't believe something like this exists! Worth checking out if you're already in Vatican City-- it's free. If you want to pay to go to the top, that gives you some of the best views of Rome. I didn't do it, but it's worth checking out if you're interested in that!

The Sistine Chapel is a painting masterpiece, located inside the Vatican Museum. If you have a guide, be sure to stick to them to hear about all the symbolism on each painting and the context behind the scenes. Pictures are forbidden, but you know, if you don't have flash on, just go ahead, it won't hurt.
