I was hoping for something a little different - this is just a bunch of stalls selling junky trinkets to cruise ship passengers.

    Cable Beach

    14 reviews

Nice beach area. Beautiful place. I would advise to be cautious of your surroundings. Also, there are areas in Bahamas that aren't well kept., litterbugs. Still, it is a wonderful place and Atlantis is a completely different vacation than Nassau. I suggest both vacations.

Blue Lagoon Island is about a half hour boat ride from Nassau. The waters are warm, clear and bright blue. It's a private-owned island and has various activities such as swimming with dolphins. I highly recommend participating in this activity!

    Fort Charlotte

    6 reviews

Definitely check out Fort Charlotte after you spent a sufficient amount of time lounging on the beach, shopping for souvenirs and jewelry, and sipping countless Bahama Mamas. This fort is a great contribution to Bahamian history and it offers an amazing view of downtown Nassau and the cruise port.
