The museum is great if you're interested in the history of Mexican art, but even better is the surrounding Pilsen neighborhood, which feels more like a suburb of Mexico City than Chicago. Great, cheap Mexican restaurants and bakeries as far as the eye can see. Easy to reach by public transportation.Recommended for:History Buffs

One of the hidden gems of Chicago. Located in Pilsen, not too many people know about this museum. With free admission and beautiful exhibits, it is a definite must when visiting the city. Plus, while you're in the area you can sample some amazing (authentic) Mexican cuisine!
