Not sure if this really rates a separate entry from Trafalgar Square, but it's very impressive and is a great meeting place. Beautiful on a sunny day and a bit eerie in the rain.

Nelson's column in centrally located in Trafalgar Square and commemorates Admiral Horatio Nelson who died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The column tends to be surrounded by tourists but the lions that flank it I found to be particularly engaging.

Located in Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column is dedicated to Admiral Nelson, and his destruction of the French Fleet at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Admiral Nelson was killed during the battle.

Admiral Horatio Nelson is the statue on top of the column. It is located in the middle of Trafalgar Square named thus because Nelson's great victory against the French and Spanish was the Battle of Trafalgar during the Napoleonic Wars. Unfortunately for Nelson, he was wounded and died during the battle.

a place that's always fine for pictures, a place where tourists meet doves, not really a quiet place with buses all around, but still a fine spot to meet a friend before sitting down

the column stands a statue of Admiral Nelson himself in full Navy regalia. Many have tried to climb the tower as a stunt, but this is not recommended.
