    Burgermeester

    9 reviews

A part of a little chain, an incredible burger joint in the pjip area. it's basically a very small take out place with a few tables, full of locals. we had to wait 30 minutes for our burger but it was worth every minute. (across the street a great bakery for your after burger sweet tooth).

    Hotel De Goudfazant

    6 reviews

Contrary to its name, Hotel Goudfazant is a restaurant and offers no lodging, but what they do offer is a great evening of dining in a partially restored industrial hall. The furnisihings are sparse -- ranging from a number of classic cars spread throughout the very large space, to two huge multi-ton lamps made of milk bottles, to a separate ...

    FEBO

    8 reviews

If you haven't been at FEBO, you haven't tasted Amsterdam yet. This network of fast food restaurants has the nice feature of being open 24h (not all of them), and it's self service. You just have to look at the boxes for a meal you would enjoy, then pay for it (it goes from 1€ to 3€ if I'm not ...

    De Kas

    7 reviews

About the only "fancy" restaurant in Amsterdam I can wholeheartedly endorse. De Kas is set in a beautiful old glass greenhouse, and it cooks one set meal a night from the vegetables it grows on-site and on farmland outside of town. The food is generally Mediterranean-ish in its simplicity, but will occasionally work in traditional Dutch combos too. Lunch is ...

    Maoz Falafel

Ok, don't expect a very cozy atmosphere or a good conversation with the staff, but the fallafel is really excellent here and the salad bar that you can use as topping is magnificent. For a quick lunch, this is a great spot. enjoy!!

Famous for its apple cake. And rightly so, as it's very good. I'd recommend it for a late morning or afternoon stop, accompanied by some fresh mint tea.

    Entrecôte et les Dames

    4 reviews

Steak, fries and salad. Incredible tarragon sauce for the steak, mayonnaise that's a cut above for the fries (yes, I have been living in Europe for almost 8 years, and I have mayo on my fries. So there, Pulp Fiction.) And to start, fresh, nearly perfect gem lettuce leaves. Other sexy little touches include leaving your bottle of wine on ...

    Pancakes! Amsterdam

    4 reviews

When you're in Amsterdam, especially if it's rainy or cold outside, there's nothing better than stepping inside a warm, cozy cafe and ordering a Dutch-style oven-baked pancakes, maybe with cheddar cheese and apples, accompanied by a glass of beer or cider.

Nice Restaurant. You enter the restaurant and get your own card where you charge all your drinks and food on. Choose a nice pizza or delicious pasta. Get a nice bottle of wine and end your dinner with a 'Death by Chocolate'.

    Gartine

At Gartine they grow their own vegetables and make their own pastries, and while you won’t find many egg dishes or even mimosas on offer, the pancakes and french toast have a real reputation for delicious-ness.
