    Las Vegas

    2071 reviews

Everyone knows: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! That's because it's the place to go to fulfill your wildest dreams, whether it's blowing $700 on a decadent dinner for two, shooting craps with a whole table cheering crazily for you, wearing a costume any night of the week, partying like it's Saturday every night of the week, watching musicals ...

    Incline Village

Gorgeous area in North Lake Tahoe. There's a couple resorts in the area, namely Diamond Peak with amazing views of the lake. There's areas to pull of the side of the road and enjoy the beach and recreation areas. Residential area with a few stores. Quiet, and full of lush plants.

Henderson is a relatively new suburb outside of Las Vegas. It consists of mostly families and normal people, has a few casinos and is relatively quiet.

This is a nice area to explore and is great during the warm months. They have an amazing fire works show for the 4th of July. Water sports, hotels, restaurants & great areas to exercise. The highways are close and convenient.

    Boulder City

    23 reviews

Don't miss this little town when you visit Las Vegas. Just 20 minutes from The Strip and you'll forget you're anywhere near Sin City. More like Mayberry in the desert. Don't miss historic downtown's shops and restaurants - or the GREAT Boulder Dam Hotel and Museum.

Genoa is an unincorporated town in Douglas County. Founded in 1850, it was the first settlement in what became the Nevada Territory. It is situated within Carson River Valley and is about 42 miles south of Reno. This is where Gayle's Dad grew up and where the extended family (including her Mom) continue to live. Gayle and I may join ...

    Carson City

For a state capitol, Carson City is a bit off the beaten path. The town has a nice, clean, yet western feel to it, but not much in the way of sights to see, except nearby Lake Tahoe.

Laughlin is like the poor man's Vegas. It is out in the middle of nowhere about an hour or so drive south of Vegas itself, on a lonely, hot highway through Searchlight. It has become a popular alternative to Vegas and Reno, particularly with the older generation. It features a river with about 4 major Casinos on the Nevada side, ...

If you are a boat enthusiast, then Overton will work as a town that you pass through on your way to Lake Mead. It offers one grocery store, a McDonalds, and a few mom and pop restaurants. There are some great atv trails along the backside of Valley of Fire (the locals call it Red Rock) that are worth checking ...

    Black Rock City

    7 reviews

One of my favorite cities on earth. Even when the people aren't there that section of the desert is amazing and beautiful. When the golden spike goes in and the fence goes up, that plot of land is transformed over a month by DPW and over a week by the population into the most creative city on earth.

    Zephyr Cove

Zephyr cove is a really nice beach, with a designated swimming area and big dock for boats. There are also a couple bars along the beach, which cater to the many volleyball players and families that hang out on the sandy strip.

I took amazing photos of Crystal Bay and enjoyed walking along the shore gazing at the snow-topped mountains. The sun beams off the gorgeous lake, it's so peaceful. Enjoy lunch in the picnic areas, you will love the picturesque view and fresh air.

Minden is right next to Gardnerville (Carson Valley Twin Cities) and is named after the town of Minden, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Gayle's family lives in nearby Genoa, so Minden is a place to shop and drive around to look around.

Gardnerville is right next to Minden (Carson Valley Twin Cities) and is named after homesteader John M. Gardner, an early homesteader. Gayle's family lives in nearby Genoa, so Gardnerville is a place to shop and drive around to look around. A number of employee's of the California Company I work for have retired here.
