Appropriate for any season, the Hotel Monteleone is right in the middle of the French Quarter action, but is, in itself, a class act.

    Harrah's New Orleans

    Harrah's New Orleans

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    19 reviews

My rating is based solely on the casino floor since I didn't stay here for very long. Inside you'll find tacky overstated decor, bright flashing lights and the non-stop ringing of slot machines. Everything you'd expect to find including the faint hint of stale cigarette smoke. So if you came to New Orleans but secretly wished you'd gone to Vegas...then ...

    Royal Sonesta Hotel New Orleans

    Royal Sonesta Hotel New Orleans

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    11 reviews

The Royal Sonesta plays host to many of the tastings and panels for Tales of the Cocktail, the annual meeting of spirited minds from around the world. These rooms have seen everything, from remarkably scientific discussion of blue gin to buttoned-up beverage professionals cozying up to an ice luge. Since the conference brings life to the stiller summer months, the ...

W New Orleans - French Quarter

W New Orleans - French Quarter

    Hotel Class:

Your typical W - good location, high energy lobby, small rooms, dark hallways... Staff was real nice. I prefer the W in the Quarter to this one, but I'd stay here again.

This hotel takes such great care of you and will go to the extreme to make sure that your stay not only in the hotel but in New Orleans as well is the best you can ever imagine. Windsor Court Hotel

    Windsor Court Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    6 reviews

The Windsor Court feels pristine from the moment you clear the high gate around its secluded front drive; it's probably the only hotel along Canal that has more than plain old city curb to greet its guests. It's pristine and airy throughout, the very picture of a luxury hotel. The bar is just as quintessential, evidenced by the fact that ...

    The Columns Hotel

    The Columns Hotel

    4.5
    6 reviews

I’ve stayed at The Columns Hotel several times, and even though it’s a 10-minute (at least) ride on the St. Charles streetcar to get into the French Quarter, the romance of the place is worth the trip it takes to get to Tourist Central. Built in 1883 and listed in the Registry of Historic Places, The Columns grips you from ...

    The Bourbon Orleans Hotel

The location is fantastic for exploring the quarter by foot. Great bed, shower and beautiful lobby. Staff helpful and upbeat but valets were a bit slow with the car. Walls a bit thin but I would stay again. Piano bar downstairs stayed busy well into the night.

    JW Marriott Hotel New Orleans

    JW Marriott Hotel New Orleans

    Hotel Class:
    4
    6 reviews

Nothing wrong with the hotel, it's conveniently located, clean, comfortable etc. Perhaps my reviews are skewed by the overall experience in a place, and I didn't care much about the city so I don't care much about the JW. You can get quite good deals during off season, which is basically the 51 weeks that don't contain Fat Tuesday..

    Le Pavillon Hotel

    Hotel Class:

One of the most intricate and beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. French-inspired, the lights, the colors and the moldings are like eye candy. I love their traditional late-night peanut butter social in their lobby. They've been serving their guests peanut butter sandwiches with hot cocoa and milk forever - and they continue to do so with the same Southern ...

Imagine the best of every European hostel you’ve ever stayed in, combine it all into one building, drop it in the heart of New Orleans, and you’ll have India House Hostel. This bohemian haunt has a bawdy reputation for being party central, which is pretty easy to see considering that they have an in-house stage that hosts band nights, open-mic ...
