    Cure

4906 Freret St, New Orleans, LA 70115

If you've heard of one fancy cocktail spot in New Orleans, it's probably Cure. With bartenders dressed the part in speakeasy-era garb and an apothecary's worth of bitters in droppers and misters arrayed around the bar, this thriving Freret Street spot has set the bar (drinking pun!) pretty high. It's almost too much, but the cocktails are just that good.

    Bayona

430 Dauphine St, New Orleans, LA 70112
    5
    9 reviews

Bayona falls into the category of New Orleans contemporary fine dining. It's cultured, but a bit reserved for my taste (in terms of dishes and energy of the restaurant) compared to other dining options. It would be a great place for dinner with the in-laws.

Great burger, giant monsoons and a fantastic NOLA vibe. Great pitstop no matter which direction you are heading on or over Esplanade. Just be sure to roll in with some patience as there's likely going to be a wait if you want a table.

    Three Muses

536 Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA
    4.5
    11 reviews

Crowd control at the door keeps the venue cozy and intimate instead of overcrowded. The music sounds great, the bartenders are helpful, and they stock local beer. Like other bars on Frenchmen Street, no cover to listen to the music other than buying at least one drink and tipping the musicians. Great place and a definite stop on the Frenchmen ...

Delicious southern food in a home setting. The service was great and the location is in the "bywater" area about 2.5 miles from the French Quarter. Worth the trip. Everything on the menu tastes homemade and delicious.

The scene is better than the food. No matter when you go their will always be politicians or businessmen eating and drinking. Anyone time its someones birthday everyone in the whole place sings. Always get the fresh New Orleans seafood. Oysters, trout, pompano, crab meat, and etc.

    Crescent City Brewhouse

527 Decatur St, New Orleans, LA 70130
    4.5
    8 reviews

Billing itself as the Quarter's only microbrewery, Crescent City Brewhouse is right in the thick of things -- a block from the river and a block from Jackson Square -- and tidily earns its keep as a top-notch place to swill craft brews in New Orleans. Located in a very cool heritage building, the food menu features ultra-fresh seafood and ...

I loved this meal! I had the hickory roasted duck, and the pork cheek boudin starter. It was everything I needed at the time. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the quarter. Though, be careful not to over-order, the portions are HUGE!
