The food, oh my god, the food. Get the Crawfish Monica, it might cost you $5 for a tiny bowl, but that will be the best $5 you've ever spent. If there's an act you want to see that's playing a main stage, plan on arriving before the gates open and camping out all day. (Otherwise you'll have to settle for one of the big screens.)

I have been going to this festival since there was no cover and my mom and dad brought my sister and I in a wagon with an icechest. Since those days it is completely out of control. Way too crowded, the prices are ridiculous, its extremely hot in April now, the lines are long for everything. But somehow I still get convinced I HAVE TO GO THIS YEAR!!!

The New Orleans Jazz Festival is so much fun. I've never been to Mardi Gras, I think I'm more of a music festival type of girl.
They have so many stages and they get such big name performers. It's usually in May so it's hot (but it always seems hot out there).
My first experience eating crawfish monica is jazzfest. It was love at first bite. It's pretty much mac n cheese with crawfish mixed it.
Whenever I think of jazzfest I think of a great music, great food (especially the crawfish monica) and tons of fun people all around.
I've been to quite a few music festivals but jazzfest really does stand out in my mind.

Ten days of live music and amazing food at the end of April/beginning of May. The music always ranges from huge national acts to small local bands, with rock, jazz, and everything in between. A great way to begin to experience the culture of New Orleans.

It's not just the music I love but the people that come to this festival. One of the best ways to experience New Orleans! If you are a lover of music, especially jazz, this festival is an absolute must. I mean, come on, this is the city where jazz was born!

Coming to New Orleans for Jazzfest has become an annual tradition for my wife and I. It's the best music festival in the country, in my opinion. It's well organized and there are always a great variety of musical genres represented. It's not just Jazz, but a celebration of all that is good about music and the culture of New Orleans!

A giant festival with lots of venues for jazz, blues, blue grass, rock and other music. Lots of local performers that are well known in New orleans, but lots of national people as well. It was hot but fun. Food and crafts in addition to the music.
