17/20; Food 8/10, Ambience 4/5, Service 5/5. Located directly on the Thames (sadly quite rare for decent restaurants in central London) in a well-lit space refurbished a few years ago. Open plan and very busy, with tables arranged in between wall to ceiling glass to the river and a long service counter on the other. Unique space, made all the ...Popular withFoodiesLuxuryFamilies

Make no mistake, this isn't a cafe but a Michelin-star winning restaurant, presided over by Australian chef Skye Gyngell. Maddona used to come here a fair bit. The food is pretty excellent but they're poor on dietary flexibility. Beautiful setting, though a pig to get to and virtually no parking spaces nearby. Lunch only.Popular withFoodiesTrendstersGreen

Great little Italian deli. Fresh veggies, salads, meats and cheeses. Perfect for take away and a walkabout the city. Nice charm and friendly staff.

If BarChick wasn’t about spreading the love, this place would remain a secret, some things (like Wotsits) are just too good to share. Anyway, here goes (because we have to), Evans and Peel is a wicked hangout. Think Cluedo, Sherlock and 1920’s Prohibition and you are on the right lines. First things first, buzz the buzzer and get into character: ...

This is an outstanding spot for lovingly prepared coffee, tasty homemade treats (the carrot cake today was outrageous), and soaking up some serious atmosphere. It's bohemian to the extreme (dusty clutter and resident cats curled up on chairs next to young folks undoubtedly writing their masterpieces) and generally brimming with character. Yet somehow lacking all pretension. It's an impressive feat. ...

Super tasty food, and not yet on anybody's map so find it yourself. Walking distance from Havana Libre, it looks like any other apartment building but when you take the elevator to the top there is a beautiful open balcony with succulent Cuban food.Popular withLuxuryTrendstersFoodies

I went into Addie's Thai Cafe with no expectations since the Thai food we get in Thai Town Los Angeles is pretty authentic and BOMB. The modern interior and table settings give out the non authentic - English influenced Thai food vibe. It is definitely different from the Authentic Thai food I've eaten in Thai Town Los Angeles, but the ...

Opened in 1954 and still going strong... The Troubador has over the years drawn an arty and political crowd - it was the first place Bob Dylan performed in London and was where the Black Panthers met after they left Paris in 1968. The original owners sold up in 1970 and the subsequent ones in 1998. Although hippies who used ...Popular withHistoryLocalDesign

It's been around since the sixties, and lots of great artists once played there (Dylan, Hendrix, Page, or so they say). To ny knowledge, they make the best eggs Benedict in the area. The hanger steak salad is also pretty good. My favorite spot in London. No doubt.Popular withNightlife
