My favorite thing about the New World Symphony Frank Gehry-designed building on the Beach? The Wallcast! Which broadcasts films, concerts and symphonies a few times a week during Miami's season (basically, all of them but summer). This is definitely one of the greatest cultural additions to Miami Beach in years, and it's the perfect way to enjoy Miami's usually great weather. Patrons simply show up with a blanket, a bottle of wine, and some snacks, and enjoy. They are always offering up diverse films, anything from Hitchcock to Jurassic Park. The best perk, of course, is catching a NWS concert, COMPLETELY for free.Recommended for:

An accomplished orchestra led by Michael Tilson Thomas. It features free monthly "wallcasts"during the season. Bring a picnic, sit outside under the stars and palms, and enjoy watching the live orchestra performance projected on the Frank Gehry designed building. The state-of-the art sound system nearly drowns out the sounds of South Beach traffic. It's a unique experience.
