A classic New York Hotel in a great location on Park Avenue, the Waldorf is hardly trendy, but it does not need to be. The lobby needs some sprucing, but this is one of New York's grandest hotels and it's a wonderful place to hold an event.

The minimal lighting and loud music may not be the taste of those who prefer hotels to be more traditional, however one can't feel totally cool staying in such a location with this brand. W definitely crafted an experience - highlights include ipod dock in room, huge umbrellas to borrow on exit, placemat in lift depending on time of day, ...

I enjoyed my stay at the Soho Grand. Though a bit past its prime, the property is still very hip. The public spaces are attractive and well maintained just like the people who stay here. The Soho Grand delivers good design and ambience. In comparison to many boutique properties, the service at the Soho Grand is friendly. Service is slower ...

What I liked: - Lobby lighting is perfectly dim. Very calming from the hustle and bustle on the streets - Their restaurant L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is a must if you're staying there, or even if you're not. One of the best restaurants in the city. - Nice and big rooms - Staff respects your privacy, but is there if ...

One of the nicer Westins in New York City. The Starwood group bought a bunch of hotels and remodeled them into Westins and Ws. This one has slightly bigger rooms, and is RIGHT in the middle of Time Square so if you are here for NYE or show watching, it's the perfect choice. If I was still with a Platinum ...

The Tribeca grand is totally chi chi. The front desk staff look like they're on there way to a fashion shoot, which they might be: the Grand hosts tons of events for fashion week in the uber stylish restaurant, lobby, and basement theatre. Pets are welcome, in fact, if you're feeling lonely, the Grand will provide a goldfish for you. ...

I stayed here just after the place first opened and it was a breath of fresh air, in an otherwise staid hotel industry, at the time. Like many NYC hotels, the public areas are large and the rooms tend to be on the small side. I also have vague memories of the Phillipe Starck bathroom ware and likely I pissed ...

Hotel on Rivington is a trendy, upscale hotel located in the Lower East Side. With a downstairs bar and conjoining club, there's a bustling nightlife. It's a little far from the typical New York tourist attractions, but if you don't mind being a tad isolated, you'll be satisfied.

An Upper East Side institution which just oozes old money. The place is steeped in Manhattan history: despite a lavish opening and being the talk of the town in 1930, the Great Depression eventually took its toll on the original owner three years later. In 1938 John Paul Getty bought the place and in the 1950s the place was at ...

I am in love with Kimpton Hotels and the Ink48 kept me feeling romantic for the entire stay.
