    SIXTY SoHo

    SIXTY SoHo

Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

Understated elegance is 60 Thompson's forté. Set among hip art galleries, trendy boutiques, and great cafés, the hotel feels very chic and exclusive. The floors are completely peaceful at all times, and the place almost feels like a residential building. The rooms are carpeted, and the color scheme is a lush, golden brown. The marble bathroom looks kind of tacky ...

Ouch this is so cool it hurts. Grupo Habita which has been making its name with ultra-hip hotels in Mexico ventures north of the border for this Chelsea outpost designed by award-winning architect Enrique Norten. Lots of clean, sleek lines, concrete as an object of beauty and a local landmark, even from the outside. The bar alone is like a ...

The hottest new hotel in New York City; since it opened in 2010, people have been flooding in. The rooms are sleek and modern but cozy. My favorite part is the heated indoor/outdoor rooftop pool. If you’re hungry, head downstairs to their new restaurant, Asellina, which has cozy Italian food (the breaded veal chop is incredible). If you want to ...

This is a gem of a hotel in Soho. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are modern with dramatic windows (although the view isn't particularly noteworthy), and the rooftop pool make this my new favorite hotel in NYC. Be warned that the pool is tiny, so if you're traveling with kids, they should only expect to splash ...

A perfectly adequate hotel in the middle of midtown NYC. Convenient to almost everything midtown (5th Ave shopping, Time Square, Columbus Circle, theater district, Lincoln Center), the Hilton NY also boasts having the best Halal cart on its street corner. The price here is high, including the very average food and drinks at the bar. But, it's NYC. And you ...

Imposing building, imposing hotel, imposing interiors...but really just all a façade...the description that should be used is: impressive. The service at the Pen NY is warm, professional and sincere. Everything appears so traditional and proper here: from the formal stair case to the up right posture of almost every staff encountered here. We were impressed with the service first attitude. ...

It's a fine hotel, but offers little more than fine accommodation and easy access to tourist destinations. The best way I can describe this hotel is to compare it to a nondescript train station. New York City Hotel Insider
New York City is an exciting metropolis and one of the world’s largest urban playgrounds, offering everything from theaters and museums to one of the country’s largest city parks. As such, NYC attracts an estimated 48 million tourists per year, many looking for a place to hang their hat during their stay. To accommodate those who would like to get some rest in the City That Never Sleeps, there are more than 90,000 rooms in hotels in Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs that range from suitable-for-a-short-stay to downright opulent.

New York City Attractions and Neighborhoods
There is no shortage of things to do in NYC. Whether you choose to stay in Greenwich Village or in the heart of Times Square, there will be plenty of activities and attractions within walking distance or a quick cab or subway ride away. If you love theater, you’ll find that hotels such as The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel, Hilton New York, the Marriott Marquis, The Milford Plaza, and the Mandarin Oriental are among the most convenient to Broadway shows and to the hundreds of restaurants in the Midtown area. All are fairly close to other popular venues as well, including Madison Square Garden and the Jacob Javits Center. These areas are also a good base for many New York City tours. If you’re headed to NYC to explore Lower Manhattan, where you’ll find the South Street Seaport, Ground Zero, Wall Street, Battery Park, and the Brooklyn Bridge, lodging options are numerous in that area as well. Many hotels are also walking distance to the Circle Line ferry that takes guests to the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Center. Of course, the city is also known for its incredible food and you’ll find some of the best restaurants in NYC in hotels. Many are very well known, like Nougatine at Jean Georges in the Trump Tower, Oscar’s or Peacock Alley at the Waldorf-Astoria, or the Palm Court at the Plaza, where you can also enjoy a delightful afternoon tea.
