There is so much to do at Newport Beach. They have an amazing bar scene and tons or restaurants to grab food near by. There is a nice pier where you can fish or walk along and a lot of shops where you can get your shopping fix on. If you are into surfing the surf break is really good.

Great beach and town. Wonderful place to spend the day and only a little over an hour from L.A. Safe beach. Great restaurants. Check out the nice homes surrounding the town.

It's a beautiful place to lazy around...I love hanging out at Balboa Fun Zone...a lot of goodies and yummies.
We'd hang out by the porch and watch different interesting people passing by us. My husband loves all the sexy girls pass by and my younger brother too, haha.
These turtles are my fave. If you happen to cruise by Balboa island, you are a lucky one if you find them. Everything here in Newport Beach is just so awesome. Beautiful nice people, good food and fun times.

I regret not spending more time in Newport Beach when I went to school in Irvine. Once you either stop making references to Arrested Development or The OC (or both, if you're me), it's a fun city to hang out in. There are some nice restaurants, some beautiful views. There are nice beaches. Newport Harbor is pretty nice. I learned how to sail there, despite the lack of wind. The library there also has a gorgeous view of the ocean. That was one of my favorite places to study during college.
All in all, I think Newport Beach might be one of the things I miss about not living in Orange County anymore. (Fine, that and Disneyland).

I have to say that this is one of my favorite beaches that I have been to so far. The water/sand is clean and the people are friendly (there's usually a person playing music on the guitar or some sort). The bicycle ride is pretty fun when you rent out a tandem bicycle - the route is just one lane following the beach from left to right but the experience is still really fun! Aside from that, I also love this really neat store that sells all kinds of shells.

Nice & cleaner than HB =)
he beach is gorgeous, and the sand is super fine and soft! there's food places nearby where you can grab lots of goodies..i'd recommend ham and cheese croissants from seaside bakery, or something nice and fried and delicious from jane's corndogs (i usually go with chili cheese fries).
also, i noticed, NB usually seems to be warmer than HB...or maybe it's all in my head.

The OC beaches are all pretty nice. Newport is no exception. It's a great beach with plenty of people who visit. It's pretty clean and the sand is soft. Also, the surrounding neighborhood is nice!
