There's nothing like seeing something in person that you have always read and heard about. Niagara Falls is one of those places that you can not appreciate it's magnitude until you are standing at it! From the US, the Canadian side, from above the falls, and below them, the opportunities to be amazed by the sheer power of water and nature at Niagara are incredible. They are a must-see at night for when they are lit up and if you can catch the fireworks on Friday or Sunday. The Falls are truly an experience to remember and a must-see for wanderlusters!

The Niagra Falls are hard to describe unless you have seen them, but once you have you'll just want to stop and stare. Whether its a room with a view or walking along the banks and watching from one of the many view points you'll be amazed by the magnitude of the falls The falls are split by an Island on the US side with the US Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. Stick with the Canada side, there's not much going on on the US except a look down over the falls. From the Canada side you get the proper perspective to soak it all in in awe.

Niagara Falls lives up to the hype and, like the Grand Canyon, you should make the effort to see it once. There are really three falls: the American Falls, Horseshoe Falls and the much smaller Bridal Veil. You should check out the falls from both sides of the border though the Canadian side offers more to do.

$6.99 all you can eat breakfast served until 2pm. The selection of the buffet is the standard American style breakfast, bacon, sausages, eggs, waffles, French toast, Greek yogurt, oatmeal, and toast. I was disappointed that there was no fresh fruit. The only type of fruit was fruit cocktail...

Niagara Falls is argueably one of the most dramatic set of waterfalls in North America. The Canadian side is much more built up, and set up, for tourists. It's got miles of paved walkways with breathtaking views, gorgeus gardens, upscale hotels and casinos, and yes, a wax museum or two. The view of the falls themselves, are much more beautiful on the Canadian side too (they're even lit up at night). The American side is nice, it just kind of falls flat in comparison to its neighbor in terms of attractions and amenities for tourists.

We like this drive and it is different depending on the season. We drive all the way down to Niagara-on-the-Lake and spend some time in the town. Along the way there are different things to see and do and vantage points for looking at the gorge. Drive slow and enjoy the views.

The falls were great to see. There is also a lot to do around the falls. See the rapids, whirlpools, cable car, go behind the falls. and even more within the city. Very neat!

Been here when my older son was on the 76ers Travel Soccer Team! Drove from Virginia to Canada, walked along the side of Niagara Falls with my younger children! My children and I were getting soaked from the waters spraying everywhere from the Falls! We were up there for three days, I wish I could remember the hotel we stayed at! It has been so long ago! It was one of my better days spending with my family!!

Niagara Falls is one of those iconic sites, and it is indeed worth a look. Take time to watch and enjoy the rush of the water over these massive falls. When we went, there were lots of rainbows! The Canada side has a lot of great views and a lot of places that would love to take your money for various attractions.

Focus on the natural beauty and ignore the tourist traps. THIS is what you came for. It is truly one of the world's great natural beauties. The park lining the Canadian side is beautiful, well-kept, and 26 miles long! Fantastic.

Description

Natural beauty and man-made kitsch -- there's a little something for every taste in Niagara Falls. Bordering the Canadian province of Ontario and the state of New York, the falls include two sections, the Horseshoe Falls and American Falls. When glaciers receded during the last ice age, the falls formed. Today, they're known for their beauty and as a favorite spot for watery weddings and romantic honeymoons. An entire tourism industry has sprouted in the area, so visitors keep plenty busy on both sides of the border: ice wine tours in Canada, outdoor theatre on the US side, and helicopter tours on both.
