First, I will say I like the location- not even a block from Boston Common and the Park St. T station. It is only a few blocks from Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall as well. Everything in the hotel is thoroughly contemporary and not over the top with glitz and glam or complicated technology. The front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly. They had all my info and everything ready upon arrival.
Upon opening our room door, a special gift and card from the Lead Concierge awaited us with acknowledgment of my mentioning the upcoming stay on social media- nice touch.
The bathroom, by hotel standards, was huge with a shower stall that was clean and has the most amazing water pressure you could want (and constant water temperature.) All the expected amenities were there including robes and full-size/power hair dryer.
The electronic thermostat in the room did a very good job keeping the temperature constant throughout the stay. There was a clock radio with iPod dock. Next to that was box that has two electrical outlets and two USB ports for charging a phone and/or tablet. On the desk, there is even a Bluetooth speaker.
The blackout curtains did a good job. The bed, while not uncomfortable, is more on the firm side which may be an issue for some people. The pillows provided were very good. (They even have a pillow menu to request no less than six different kinds such as feather, foam, spine support, water-filled, etc.)
Of note is that the hotel is very quiet inside and we didn't hear much from the outside on the 16th floor overlooking Tremont Street.
Although unlike some hotels, they did not provide an itemized bill the night before checkout. However, checkout at the desk was quick and easy.
Unless something changes, this will be my go-to hotel for staying in Boston.

Nice hotel. Good location. The restaurant put up a good bit of grub as well - a bit expensive but good.
    I would stay here again.

Hula hoops in the fitness center. That should give you a better idea than anything else of the number of options and luxuries this funky Kimpton hotel has. There’s a layer of feather bedding on all the mattresses and about four different kinds of pillow including magnetic, available on request. All the soaps and lotions are specially-made imports. The location is great for sightseeing and historical tours and three different views are offered, ranging from a brick wall to a decent skyline. The attached steakhouse, KO, is really high-end but worth a visit as long as you’re not the sort of person who gets grossed out by a chandelier made out of antlers. The only thing I was less than impressed with was the “business center”, which seemed to be a couple of desktops at the end of a hallway. The Wi-Fi package deal isn’t bad, though. The gym is also on the small side but all guests are given complimentary memberships to Bally Total Fitness, and it’s about five minutes from the front door to Boston Common, which is always good for a jog.

Perfect location for exploring Boston. Close to several T stations, Boston Common, on the Freedom Trail. Don't miss the complimentary wine happy hours!

Jetsetter is your best friend when it comes to the Nine Zero and this is the chic-est (is that a word?) little boutique hotel in Boston. It's a chain of a smaller scale that I can't remember but I have stayed at another hotel in this chain that's just so modern and cool.

The front desk is friendly and fast, they never let the line build up beyond 2 people. The hotel bar has great bartenders that are actually creative in making drinks instead of pointing you to the menu and saying, "This one has gin?" and it's such a great location. Walkable distance to everything, but then again since Boston isn't exactly big, most things are walkable everywhere.

The nice part, though, is being close to morning friendly places like coffee, bagels, pastries, breakfast joints, the Paramount!! etc. It's nice to be able to run out and grab coffee while your significant other is still showering and getting ready because it's a nice surprise when they get back!
