    174 reviews

Part of going to New Orleans IS going to Cafe du Monde if for no other reason than to day you've gone. And yes, the only food they sell is beignets but who cares! An order of beignets and a cafe au lait is the bestest ever!

Their ice-cream is amazing! My favorites are the salted caramel and honey lavender. They used to have a special called Sam's Sundae but it's been unavailable for a few months now. Whenever they bring it back, be sure to try it. There's a long line usually, but it moves pretty fast.

If I knew I was to die tomorrow and could have one more meal any where it, would be at mama's. I have been eating there since it was in a house, for more that 30 years probably. In a dream locale some of the best Hawaiian inspired meals any where.

Shake Shack - Madison Square Park

Southeast corner of Madison Square Park near Madison Ave. and E.23rd St, 10010
    4.5
    105 reviews

If you must stand in a ridiculous line, make it this one. That said, shake shack burgers can be enjoyed in other, less-scenic locations, all over town. There's even one at JFK.

    Whole Foods Market - Lamar

525 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX

A must see. Go for lunch! There are restaurants, salad bars, beers on tap, and prepared foods, along with the groceries. If you have kids...there is a secret playscape with tables on the roof. Take the elevator up (its next to the restrooms).

A must!! You haven't been to the beach unless you've visited The Red Bar. Think of this as a beach adventure. Everyone pack into one car (parking limited during the summer) and get ready for an enjoyable evening. This isn't the place for a hurried dinner! Remember, you are at the beach and enjoy the evening!

    The Hangout

101 East Beach Boulevard, Gulf Shores, AL, United States

Great public beach area convenient and clean. There are several festivals a year in this location as well, most notable the Hangout Music Festival held in May each year. The beach is very close to the parking area so those long hikes are not an issue here.

This is a MUST visit whenever you're in the area. Their dessert are rich so I'd recommend sharing. There is ALWAYS a line and since the place is small, good luck finding a place to sit. Other then that, super delicious desserts.

    Tartine Bakery

600 Guerrero St, San Francisco, CA 94110
    4.5
    73 reviews

While the lines at this Mission District bakery can be an hour long, that hardly detours the fans clamoring to try Chad Robertson and Elisabeth Prueitt’s pastries. Inspired by time spent in France, the couple uses only organic ingredients in desserts like a shortbread cookie with kamut, an ancient grain, and local honey. Because the bakery makes small batches throughout ...

The line wound out the door but the wait was worth it. Decadent warm doughy sweet treats - some filled with sweet cream. Some like dense rich chewy cakes smothered in sugar. A greasy calorific bomb but good!

    Voodoo Doughnut

Like donuts? This is a must-try in Portland. Voodoo Doughnut is an iconic institution in downtown Portland. The lines get long, the wait can be frustrating, and the smell of donuts waiting to be eaten could be unbearable. Worth it? Totally. I came early morning to try Voodoo Doughnut. There was no line. Since I already checked into the menu ...
