This is a beautiful place to stay – both of the hotel’s two buildings and the outdoor patio area are really nicely presented in a very classy, understated way. If you have an interest in modern design and/or architecture you will definitely enjoy staying here, both for its current presentation and for its history. Number 31 is a boutique-style hotel ...

A perfect place for a long walk in Dublin. Start in the Docklands on foot or bike and follow the path along the canal all the way around the south side of the city. You can go on for miles (far beyond the city, in fact) so be sure to plan your route beforehand. The canal isn't used much any ...

This is the heart and happening part of the city! The epitome of Irish bar culture! Walking up and down the streets of this little section of Dublin you'll be greated by the sounds of live music eminating from every bar and smiling faces singing and laughing and swigging from a pint of Irish beer! So much fun! :)

The library itself is breathtakingly beautiful. The books and busts of great thinkers line both sides of a tremendous long, quiet room encased in wood (ceilings, walls, floors). Impressive showcase of higher learning from days gone by.

Is considered the National Cathedral and is Ireland's largest church. Very lovely church with centuries of history. If you are lucky to listen in on an organ concert it is pretty cool. Also, if you are a fan of Gulliver's Travels you can check out Johnathan Swift (the author and former dean of the cathedral) is buried on the grounds.

Most Dubliners don't know about this public park. It's about five minutes from the beautiful but crowded St. Stephen's Green. On a warm day you'll see people sunbathing and eating lunch on the grass. The last time I was there I noticed that some people will nod knowingly at you, a gesture of the sort you'd expect to see from ...

Cool pub with an authentic feel in the Dame Lane area. We hung out upstairs. There was a live band playing Irish folk music, pints of Guinness were flowing and there was a very lively and charming atmosphere.

For the Temple Bar area, this is actually a really large bar (it also houses a restaurant and hostel). I had the pleasure of seeing Tim Robbins perform here (it's a really small venue) and really have to recommend it to any bar-goer in Dublin. True, all bars in Dublin are relatively similar: they all serve beer, they all play ...
