This is a beautiful place to stay – both of the hotel’s two buildings and the outdoor patio area are really nicely presented in a very classy, understated way. If you have an interest in modern design and/or architecture you will definitely enjoy staying here, both for its current presentation and for its history. Number 31 is a boutique-style hotel ...

Beautiful architecture and amazing location. However not the best location for shopping. The shops are a bit outdated and not much variety to chose from.

Great live music, good prices and not so crowded as Temple Bar is used to be, so a great alternative. Also there's few places for going party arround so is a nice place to start the night's plan.

Cool pub made famous by the band the Dubliners, who apparently used to hang out here. Its a pretty small pub, with wood paneled walls. Had a very historic and homey feel. Some nights they have live music here (though they didn't when we came) - mostly traditional Irish folk music. Would love to come here for that.

Running down the back side of the Temple Bar District of Dublin this is one of the more main roads in the area. It's possible to get some cheap eats here after an evening at the pubs.

    George's Street Arcade

    0.72 mi from Number 31

George's Arcade is a treasure trove of small shops & stalls, contained within a red-bricked Victorian style building. Music, Art bohemian clothes, a mish-mash really that is quite popular, with tourists, students and locals. It certainly makes a change from the high street, and has a slightly Camden feel about it.

    0.96 mi from Number 31

The Bull and Castle is a restaurant on the first floor and a bar on the second. I actually had the pleasure of spending Arthur's Day here (Arthur's day is a celebration of all things Guinness in Ireland. It's celebrated a lot like New Years Eve, except it's at like 6pm and there's a lot more Guinness involved). The crowd ...

Dublin's premier gay bar and dance club-- at least, that's what I was told. From the outside, a stately old building-- definitely not out of place in historic downtown Dublin. I walked past it a couple times, actually, because the building just doesn't look like a club. Step inside, however, and the blinding light of fabulousness overwhelms. When the technicolor ...

A fantastic Victorian pub in the heart of Dublin. It's great late afternoon for a quiet pint, and gets quite busy around the weekends. It's such a cosy bar with very friendly staff, that sometimes it's hard to leave. I took a visiting friend there recently and fell in love with the place, she really loved the atmosphere.

This is a classic Dublin boozer with a hell of a lot of history and character (which it has managed to keep along with it’s charm for years). This is the best place in Dublin for a cup of coffee and a book. It's an old library done up into a cafe. The chairs are ancient and threadbare and the books on the shelves look like they'd turn to dust the second you pick them up.
