    The Waikiki Beachside Hostel

    The Waikiki Beachside Hostel

    5 reviews
Good! - 76% of guests recommend

I wasn't too sure about this place when I first arrived, walking up it looked a bit shady from the outside but it turned out to be a pretty good place to stay. I stayed in one of the female only dorms. It was two rooms with four beds, shared bathroom and your own private kitchen! Pretty damn good for ...

    Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach

    Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach

    3 reviews
Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

What a great find! Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach opened in late 2011 with a bright, contemporary, serene and spacious atmosphere--and it's only about a block from the beach. Décor is just trendy enough to feel special and just classic enough to feel comfortable. I think business travelers will especially like this hotel. Standard guest rooms are large for Waikiki and ...

    The Breakers

    The Breakers

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

This older, charming and affordable Japanese-style gem is tucked away on a quiet Waikiki side street, owned by the same family since 1954. You step back in time with the two levels surrounding an enchanting, landscaped pool/courtyard area. The two room, ground floor unit had a full kitchenette with another separate bedroom. The second story rooms have shoji screen fronts ...

    The Equus Hotel

    The Equus Hotel

    Class:
    3 reviews
Good! - 77% of guests recommend

I finally had the chance to visit The Equus recently--and I can't wait to recommend it. The hotel has been tucked away in western Waikiki for decades, but in the last few years a total renovation and re-imagination of its potential took place, and it's completely awesome. It's also still under the radar, so rates are often exceptional. The Equus ...

    Waikiki Gateway Hotel

    Waikiki Gateway Hotel

    Class:
    5 reviews
Mediocre - 65% of guests recommend

Waikiki Gateway’s a budget hotel somewhere in transformation from old to new. The petite lobby’s now a sleek entryway, but many rooms are still old school and a tad tired, although clean. Straddled at the split between Waikiki’s two main traffic arteries, west-facing rooms look straight up Kalakaua Avenue and overlooks traffic—but it’s a weirdly appealing urban view that I’d ...

    Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki

    Class:
    4 reviews

The Aloha Surf went through a nice update and it's a decent place to stay. Love the proximity to the Food Pantry market next door. Parking available, but notify them advance of your needs. Their continental breakfast was severely lacking, but with the Food Pantry and other things nearby, not a big deal.

I stayed here for seven days with three other friends a few weeks ago. Check-in was pretty easy. Apparently we had arrived earlier than our check-in time (the lady at the front desk said we were supposed to check in at 3pm, although I don't recall ever seeing a certain time we had to check in), but fortunately there was ...

    Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach

A hip, modern boutique hotel, geared primarily towards adults. The front desk staff and bar staff are all full of the aloha spirit, and there's a really cool vibe to the whole place. I love hanging out in the hot tub. It's the best place to meet other guests staying at the hotel. Everyone has been super friendly, and we've ...

    Paradise Bay Resort

    2 reviews
Good! - 79% of guests recommend

Paradise Bay Resort is a great getaway from the Hustle and Bustle of Waikiki. A slice of old Hawaii...better yet...true Hawaii. The Location is within a local community...but it is hidden in the middle of it and has a PRIME location on Kaneohe Bay. I had stayed here with some friends visiting from the mainland at the time and truly ...

I was surprised at the great deal we got when we stayed at Ohana Waikiki West. If you can bear to stay further in from the beach, you’re more likely to find better values like what we found at Waikiki West. Located near the back of the International Market Place, this hotel is fairly central and not too far a ...

If you’re looking for a room in a great location, but aren’t willing to dish out the extra cash to stay in one of Waikiki’s more famous (and fancy) waterfront hotels, this is a great choice. The big lure here is that the hotel is situated just a block from Waikiki Beach and the heart of many of the most ...

The hotel is nice enough and you can request free cookies at the front desk. The rooms are standard Hilton, comfortable and clean. Kailua Beachside Cottages

    Kailua Beachside Cottages

    2 reviews

Kailua, on Oahu's Windward Coast, has the most accommodations anywhere on the island outside of Waikiki. This family-run B&B and vacation rental agency is one of the most reliable, and has some budget-priced studio apartments and cottages within easy walking distance of the beach. Last time we stayed here, there was a lot of construction going on at our rental ...
