A better fair than the LA county fair but everything can still be overpriced. The exhibits aren't tremendous but it's a nice get away for a bit of family fun. You can eat all the fried things you want here. Fried oreos, fried twinkies and even fried butter. They have special two dollar Fridays and I'm sure they'll keep that up in the future.Recommended for:

Remember to go see all the cool animals when you're at the OC Fair! The fair isn't just about fried food and games. The petting zoo had pigs, lambs, and so many other animals. They were really cute and I don't know when else I would get a chance to see these animals. I was really surprised to also see such gigantic bulls and cows!

Beware of the Vendors!!!!! Went into the carnival of products, there was a both selling scissors, magnifying glasses etc, I think I is called PRISTINE SYTEMS,
anyways the kid working in the booth tried to overcharge my 88 year old Mom $10 bucks, not much but it is the principle. Sad to see the OC Fair tolerate this, sure this wasn't the first time these guys tried to rip somebody off, but an 88 year old woman, there is a special place in hell for people like that.......Recommended for:

During the summer month's the OC Fair is hosted here. Not a huge fan, since it's usually really hot during that time of year and visiting the fair gets really pricey, but the kids seem to have a good time nonetheless. When the fair is not on (e.g. the majority of the year), they host the OC Swap Meet each Saturday and Sunday which is a fun place to visit. Lots of vendors selling lots of different stuff and reasonable prices.Recommended for:

Cheaper and more organized than LA county fair. but smaller and with cooler weather.
food and rides are way too expensive and it seems pretty small compared to other venues. There were three rides and all the food booths were the same just spread out in said small space.

The OC Fair & Event Center is mostly knows for the yearly summer fair but there is a lot of other things that happen year round.
First, the fair goes on for 2 weeks during the summer. It's the typical fair with a large ferris wheel, carnival games, pig racing, and rows and rows of unhealthy food. It's absolutely fantastic.
Outside of the fair, this is the location for the Orange County Swap Meet (Sat/Sun). There are a lot of booths and plenty of stuff to see/buy. There is also a farmers market on one side of the swap meet.
There are also buildings they hold various craft fairs, gun shows, etc., throughout the year.
But the fair is my favorite...too bad it's only 2 weeks a year!
