Two delightful, late 1800's, newly renovated kitchens and baths, 2 story homes situated next door to each other. Both have non obstructed Ocean Views on rises overlooking the Atlantic and Rockport's famous Thatcher Island twin lighthouses. Located on a private road, close to beaches, lots of great walking areas, 2 miles from town's Bear Skin Neck shopping and dining.
Can be booked separately or if availability allows, both houses can be booked together.
Both premises are equipped with all accommodations for your summer pleasure including deck furniture, beach chairs, fans, heat, wireless internet/cable TV, DVDs and board games.
Linens and towels are not provided, but pillows, blankets, dishtowels, potholders, and bathmat are. But if traveling by plane, owner can provide guests with linens and towels for a small additional fee, and they must be washed, dried and folded before departure.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY (if interested) Rockport has attracted visitors since 1606 when French explorer Samuel de Champlain landed on one of its shores what is now called Whale Cove. Bear Skin Neck- the town center, is 2 miles away from the cottage. Legend has it that the small peninsula got its name after a bear was caught by the tide and killed in 1700. Along its small roads there are quaint stretches of old fishermen and lobster-men shacks that have gradually been turned into a tourist attraction of restaurants, shops and galleries. Your breathtaking view of the Twin Lighthouses of Thatcher’s Island, named for Anthony Thatcher, an Englishman whose vessel, the Watch and Wait, was wrecked in a ferocious storm near the island in 1635 on its way to Marblehead from Ipswich, was once the first landfall of steamer ships from England heading for Boston and New York, and is now a popular kayaking destination and has biweekly boat trips from the town port. ...more
