The Ohla hotel is designed for those who like the high life. Classy, contemporary and conveniently located straddling two old-town districts of the Gótico and the Born, this hotel really can’t be faulted on service or downright charm. If you can’t afford the rooms but fancy the upmarket experience, take advantage of the fact that from 6pm onwards the hotel’s rooftop pool and chill-out terrace are open to the public. Sip an expertly mixed drink at the boutique cocktail bar or soak yourself in the glass-sided pool, with stunning views over Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks.

Ohla is a hotel you will want to say Hola (hello in Spanish) to time and time again! A luxurious spot for a romantic stay, a classy dinner or even a cooling cocktail at the plush bar - it is definitely worth a visit when you are in town, if only to check out the extravagant exterior or the rooftop pool. Located on Via Laietana between the hip Gotico and Born districts – Ohla offers down-town chic within a few minutes walk of the nightlife of the Paseo del Born, the Port and the designer shopping available on the main boulevard of Paseo de Gracia. For dinner as lux as the Ohla Hotel – try the sushi tasting menu at Koy Shunka on Carrer d’en Copons.

Great central location, within a few minutes' walk of the Placa de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. The interior is a terrific blend of 19th Century period charm and sleek contemporary designs - echoing the city's obsession with design. Go for one of the larger rooms or suites, if you can, most have stunning views. Another standout feature: the front of house staff, a real cut above what you'd typically expect in a boutique-style property. Very warm and welcoming, but understated and professional.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers
