The Jameson Distillery is a must do attraction in Dublin. Enjoy a glass of Jameson during your short wait for the tour to start. After the interesting video that kicks off the tour, make sure to be a volunteer for something that comes at the end of the tour (they wont tell you, and neither will I, but its fun!).

As a fan of the whiskey, and especially the refreshing Jameson's, a visit here was like paying homage to my mecca. The tour is informative and interesting. There is a bar right here onsite (no kidding) and we had the most delicious and possibly most authentically made Irish coffee here. Cheers!

A great tour of the Old Jameson Distillery, especially for fans of whiskey. Everyone gets a sample of Jameson at the end, a handful of guests can volunteer to do a taste comparison of Jameson with American whiskey and Scotch whiskey. Can be a little much at 11am, but well worth it. The restaurant across from the entrance offers a nice breakfast as well.

The tours run daily and tell you about the history of John Jameson. You learn about whiskey making process. There is a bar, restaurant and gift shop. It is a great attraction to visit.

A museum about the distillation of Whiskey based in the Old Distillery. A free sample is given out at the end of the tour and you need to be quick off the mark to take place in the sampling.

The Guinness Brewery may be more famous, and is also a fun time, but if you are a fan of spirits I recommend checking out the Jameson distillery. The tour allows you to learn about the long history of whiskey production in Ireland, and the unique way that Jameson is produced that gives it that extra smooth taste. And of course you get to do some whiskey tasting, which is always a good thing

We enjoyed our trip to the Old Jameson Distillery. It was an informative tour and we also enjoyed our whiskey tasting. If you can only go to one "beverage" tour I think I would pick the St. James Gate (Guinness) tour over there Jameson tour.... perhaps that's because I'm more of a Guinness man.

I learned that I liked whisky with cranberry juice and I also had a great irish coffee at the bar! Do this over the Guinness tour.

Not the most amazing tour ever, but I'm a fan of the history and science of distillation, so I rather enjoyed it. The blind tasting at the end is fun as well.

A must visit place for a whiskey lover. The guided tour takes you through all the stages of the whiskey distillation. The tour is followed by a whiskey tasting session where you are enlightened with the various nuances of the taste of a whiskey. There is a shop to buy gifts and other goodies.

Better than the Guinness brewery, but still very obviously commercial. Again free samples.

Description

For many whiskey lovers, Jameson is the most important item that Ireland produces. To get a closer look at how that magic caramel-colored elixir gains its light, floral aromas and grainy undertones, take a tour of the Old Jameson Distillery. Though the distilling today is now done in Cork, the brew is still vatted in Dublin. Learn the history of the Jameson brand and partake in a guided whiskey tasting on their 1-hour tour.
