Not just for class trips and history buffs, the Old U.S. Mint plays host to summer's Cajun-Zydeco festival in its atmospheric setting.

Located on the edge of the Old French Quarter, the Old Mint became part of the Louisiana State Museum with both permanent and traveling exhibits. The restored ... read more
collection of instruments and sheet music, damaged in Hurricane Katrina, will delight jazz lovers, as will the free jazz concerts held frequently on the third floor.
